Continuing & Professional Studies(CAPS) at WashU is committed to providing programs that meet the needs of the modern learner. Balancing personal and professional responsibilities with a college education can be difficult. Customized programs are often developed to support the success of CAPS students. These programs may be developed for a specific group of students and not open to all applicants. Please speak with a Student Recruiter to determine eligibility for Special Programs.

Accelerated Master’s Degree Program

The accelerated master’s degree program allows Arts & Sciences day students to count their graduate-level course work (completed as an undergraduate) toward a master’s degree.

ACTRAC program

By completing additional course work prescribed by the instructor, students earn 4 credits for each ACTRAC course rather than the usual 3 credits. By taking ACTRAC courses, students can reduce the total number of courses they must take before they graduate.

Combined Bachelor’s & Master’s Degree

The Combined Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree Program in the School of Continuing & Professional Studies (CAPS) is designed for students who wish to pursue rigorous and accelerated study that will lead to both a BSIS and either a Master of Arts or Master of Science in areas of study for which there are degree programs at CAPS.

SHRM-CP and SHRM- SCP Certification Prep

The competencies include a broad range of skills needed in the applied setting, including leadership and navigation, business acumen, ethical practice, relationship management, consultation, critical evaluation, global and cultural effectiveness, and communication.

Extend(Ed) Professional Credentials

The CAPS Extend(Ed) learning program offers flexible, non-credit professional credentials aimed at helping you upskill quickly and affordably.
