ACTRAC

Refunds for dropping the ACTRAC option are issued in accordance with the standard refund grid above.

Canceled Courses

Full refunds are granted when the School of Continuing & Professional Studies cancels a course.

Courses Meeting Fewer Than 8 Weeks

  • If the course meets 3 days or fewer, you must be dropped prior to the start of the course for a 100% refund. Thereafter, no refund is applied.  
  • If the course meets for 4 calendar days up to 1 week, you have 24 hours after the first class to drop for a 100% refund. Thereafter, no refund is applied.  
  • If you are taking a Special Format course (for example, Weekend or Intensive Format) that meets 6+ times, you have 48 hours after the first class to drop for a 100% refund. Thereafter, no refund is applied.  
  • If the course meets for 5 -7 weeks, you have 4 days after the first class to drop for a 100% refund, and 8 days after the first class to drop for a 50% refund. Thereafter, no refund is applied.  
  • If the course meets 7.5 weeks or more, you have 7 days after the first class to drop for a 100% refund, and 14 days after the first class to drop with a 50% refund. Thereafter no refund is applied. 

Courses Meeting 8 Weeks or More

  • You have 7 days after the first class to drop for a 100% refund, and 14 days after the first class to drop with a 50% refund. Thereafter, no refund is applied.

Special Audit Courses

Refunds for dropping Special Audit courses are issued in accordance with the standard refund grid above.

Washington University Employees

If a course is dropped, the tuition benefit will be reversed. If a course is dropped after the 100% refund period, the employee is responsible for the outstanding tuition balance. Please refer to the refund schedule above.
